Newborn Holistic Ministries adopts new names of Intersection of Change

After 20 years since its founding, Newborn Holistic Ministries has taken a new name to better convey the community development work it has done all these years.  We are now named Intersection of Change to better capture our work of addressing unmet community services and transforming our intersection at  Pennsylvania Avenue and Presstman Street into a revitalized asset to our community.

NHM’s Jubilee Arts program employs 80 youth to create murals

This summer, NHM’s Jubilee Arts program launched a massive project that employed 80 youth and eight artists to creat eight major murals in our community.  The project was a powerful response to respond to the unrest of April 27. The project, called Art@Work: Sandtown, created  murals to beautify our community and the youth involved who collected input for designs from community members, gave a presentation for public comment, and painted each mural.

Many thanks to our project partners Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and Youthworks Baltimore and generous funding support by The Abell Foundation, Baltimore Department of Housing, Clayton Baker Trust, France-Merrick Foundation, Lockhart Vaughan Foundation, WBAL Kids Campaign and YouthWorks.
